Akut tandvård

Akut tandvård tar hand om akuta problem i tänder, tandkött eller käke.
Är du osäker på var smärtan kommer ifrån? Har du varit med om en olycka som har skadat en eller flera av dina tänder?
Sådana tandproblem är oftast övergående, men om det finns behov av ytterligare behandling kommer du att erbjudas ordinarie tandläkartid hos oss.

Jag har en lös tand – vad gör jag?

Undvik att tugga på tanden. Det är nu viktigt att du uppsöker en akuttandläkare så snart som möjligt. Tandläkaren kommer att undersöka både tanden i fråga och tänderna bredvid.

Det kan finnas många orsaker till att en tand har lossnat, inklusive tandköttsinflammation (parodontit). Sjukdomen är vanlig och cirka 40 % av den vuxna befolkningen har tandlossning till viss del.

Jag har en utslagen tand

Akut tandvård är nödvändig, omedelbart! Om möjligt, sätt tillbaka tanden i munnen omedelbart. Det ökar chansen att vi lyckas rädda tanden. En utslagen tand förvaras bäst under tungan, eller i ett glas mjölk.

Mjölktänder med utvecklad rot ska inte sättas in igen och i de flesta fall är akut tandbehandling inte nödvändig. Kontakta dock din tandläkare för en undersökning.

Jag har tappat en tandfyllning

Utan tandfyllningen på tanden är den öppen för bakterier och därmed inflammation.

Hör av dig så bokar vi en tid snabbt. En sådan skada kan ofta förvärras om man väntar för länge med att söka hjälp.

Jag har akut tandvärk

Ingen ska behöva gå runt med tandvärk.

Trasig tand – Jag är i akut behov av en tandläkare

Ta tandbiten eller hela tanden du tappat till tandläkaren. Väldigt ofta kan vi limma tillbaka tandbiten – och resultatet blir oftast både snyggt och naturligt. Det är viktigt att du träffar oss så snart som möjligt om du behöver en akut tandläkare. Vi rekommenderar att du lägger tandbiten fuktig om du måste vänta ett tag, till exempel i ett glas mjölk.

Har du tappat en bit av en tand eller brutit din tand? Då gäller det att fort komma till akut tandvård. Skadan kan snabbt bli värre om du skjuter upp tandläkarbesöket.

Jag har tappat en tandkrona eller en tandbro

Ta tandkronan eller tandbryggan till tandläkaren om den har ramlat ur – det är stor chans att vi kan sätta tillbaka den på plats.

Om tandkronan eller tandbryggan har tappats bort måste vi göra en ny. Tandläkaren kommer att diskutera möjliga lösningar med dig och ge dig sin rekommendation.

Vi rekommenderar akut tandvård vid tappad eller lossad tandkrona eller tandbro.

Urgent dental treatment

 Urgent dental treatment treats sudden problems with the teeth, gums or jaw.

Are you unsure where the pain is coming from? Have you been in an accident that has damaged one or more of your teeth?
Such dental problems are usually temporary but if there is a need for further treatment you will be offered an dental appointment within our regular opening hours.

I have a loose tooth – what do I do?

Avoid chewing on the tooth. It is important that you consult an emergency dentist as soon as possible. The dentist will examine both the tooth and the surrounding area.

There can be many reasons why a tooth has come loose, gingivitis (periodontitis) among others. The disease is common and about 40% of the adult population experience loose teeth to some degree.

I have a knocked-out tooth

Emergency dental treatment is necessary, immediately! If possible, put your tooth back in your mouth immediately. This increases the chance that we successfully manage to save the tooth. A knocked-out tooth is best stored under the tongue, or in a glass of milk.

Damaged milk teeth should not be reinserted and in most cases urgent dental treatment is not necessary. However, contact your dentist for an examination.

I have lost a filling

Without a tight cover (dental filling) on the tooth, there is full access for bacteria.

Get in touch and we will arrange an appointment quickly. Such an injury can often be worsened if you wait too long to seek help.

I have an acute toothache

No one should have to walk around with a toothache. 

Call us today, we can offer you an emergency dental appointment on the day or set up an ordinary dental appointment if you want.

Something is stuck between the teeth

Do you have something that is stuck between your teeth, and that you cannot get loose? Do not tug and jiggle, it can damage your teeth!

If dental floss and toothpicks do not help, you can call us for emergency dental treatment. We can help you quickly and in a gentle way.

Broken tooth – I am in urgent need of a dentist

Take the piece of the tooth or the whole tooth you have lost to the dentist. It is important that you contact us as soon as possible if you need an emergency dentist. We recommend that you keep the chipped/broken piece moist if you have to wait a while, for example in a glass of milk.

Have you lost a piece of a tooth or broken your tooth? Then it is urgent to get to emergency dental treatment. The damage can quickly get worse if you postpone the dental visit.

I have lost a dental crown or a dental bridge

Take the dental crown or dental bridge to the dentist if it has fallen out – there is a good chance that we can put it back in place.

If the dental crown or dental bridge has been lost, we must make a new one. The dentist will discuss possible solutions with you and give you their recommendation.

We recommend immediate dental treatment in the event of a lost or loosened dental crown or dental bridge.
